Okay, I have a lot that I want to share from my trip to Netherlands and Germany. I just returned back home yesterday, and unfortunately I had no way to access Livejournal during my trip.
So the main reason I went to visit Netherlands and Germany was because my friend studied and lived on the border between these two countries. She is now moving back to Norway, and needed help from a group of friends to move her things – and we got to stay at her room for free, and explore both countries! Good deal, right? We didn't even spend that much time moving things, it was a pretty simple task for us all. PS! All photos in these posts will be photos I took during the trip!
My friend bought us all tickets on behalf of us, and we were travelling as two groups - she and her sister was one group - and me and her boyfriend and his bestfriend was another group. Our flights were 2 hours between, and we were sitting at Oslo airport, the 3 of us, while they already in Amsterdam. The flight was at 8:20, and I am usually always really careful about getting places on time, but I had only slept 3 hours, and we were all very tired, sitting there, staring into nothingness for 1 hour. I checked the time every 5 minutes to make sure we were going to make the flight, and for some reason, I mistook the times and thought the gate was opening at 8:20, but the flight was actually *LEAVING* at 8:20. I remember I looked at my phone and it was 8:15, but noone had called for us. I grabbed my bags and screamed at my two travel-companions, and we rushed through half the airport, and the gate was closed... Luckily for us, they (with angry faces and looks of disgust) opened the gate, and the flight stewardesses were laughing and smiling at our panic, while we ran into the plane whispering "sorry, sorry, sorry". When we sat down, we were about to take off, when the pilot announced that there would be a 30+ minute delay because of some troubles with the engine... good start to the trip, ironically! 🙂
